He took a breath and quietly watched her reaction. This whole thing was a mess if it came down to it. But he'd protect Aerith and wouldn't believe that she was an enemy, not even for a second. Angeal was adopting a wait and see attitude with his friend because they didn't know if Sephiroth was here or not. And if he was, there was no telling what his mental state was until he was seen. This place was enough to drive one a little batty even without all of the other things the silver haired man had dealt with back home.
He then nodded at her promise of sorts. Angeal had been at his friend's side when they both young and on a Soldier mission so he'd seen and knew plenty of things. And while he wasn't going to go burden Aerith with any of that information, he felt it best to handle the situation, should things go sideways.
Hopefully if Sephiroth did appear, his mind and spirit had been cleansed so he could have a clean slate. Somehow though, Angeal doubted it.
After a moment's thought, he looked at her. "I'm guessing those leaf things we got would be the fastest way to communicate with each other." It was a question of sorts.
