"I don't blame you." Aerith isn't sure how much she should blame Sephiroth, either, since he seems to be, more or less, an unwitting puppet of Jenova. Still, in his case, there does seem to be some willingness to help her - likely encouraged by his broken heart and mind. If they could bring Angeal and Genesis back, would that help? Would it make a difference and wake him up?
"I will contact you if I see him." that seems fair. If her luck is especially bad and Cloud finds him first, she will try to lead the blonde somewhere else. Just to keep him from further fights. Angeal is much better equipped to reason with Sephiroth - if any reasoning is possible.
