Yeah, it doesn't really help Tony's case at all. It makes more sense if they're both dead than the fairies kidnapped a dead man and a living legend looking to retire. He just nods because he doesn't want to start an argument over this.

Because he only sort of understood the science around going back in time and taking the stones to begin with. He's not sure he can handle magic on top of that.
