A few things to note:

• He wears a little bowtie. I think it’s very cute. And a monocle, but bowtie!


• In-game, you can find a portrait of Geppetto’s son and give it back to him. The portrait becomes relevant later for a cool weapon that grows out of his son’s nose (this probably makes more sense knowing that Lies of P is based on Pinocchio 🤣). Geppetto keeps the portrait on the opposite wall, though; far away from his desk and in a corner. I imagine it’s hard to see, which is probably intentional on his part.


• He’s voiced by Anthony Howell in English, which is what got me to play Elden Ring!

Plans for This Character:

I think I’d be taking Geppetto from his “good” character growth point in canon, which I think is fun because while he apologizes for being a terrible father, I feel like he’s susceptible to further terribleness. I feel like this sort of setting would help further said terribleness! Geppetto likes to pretend to be normal/fit in with society, when really he’s manipulative and doesn’t care about anyone other than himself (and his son, but in the way where he views his son as an extension of himself rather than his own person; e.g. when his son dies, I imagine Geppetto was more upset in the sense of “how dare you go and die when I didn’t say you could?? The utter gall of this boy”).

The man is terrible and deserves no kindness, basically.
