Blood sprays up when another artery is severed by its flailing and covers the spear. Frantic beats of its wings buffet the warrior and the slippery weapon is wrenched from his distracted fingers when the Manananggal somehow manages to take to the air again, this time bringing S'rei's spear with it as it resumes its chase after what it perceives to be the real threat.
