It was the shout that'd drawn him. Spike knew that kind of scream all too well. Been the cause of it more than a few times. There were lots of screams and shouts and noises in the hedge maze, but that one still stood out.
So he sprinted, around some turns and then stopped short. Not someone he recognized (though that didn't mean much). Kneeling on the ground frantically trying to do...something.
"Hey." Spike called out, more gently than he might've. Two lefts--damn. That was his guess, as he walked closer and moved to crouch down. "Whatever you're seeing, it's not real."
