What are you planning? [Not that they have much time to figure out an actual plan, but he already doesn't like that Koh is the one in front. Admittedly, he doesn't exactly have armor right now, but Wrathion could change that in a heartbeat. He couldn't help but wince as the thing screamed again.
He wasn't expecting the shockwave--he did manage to dig in before it did anything more than make him stagger, but a fine tracery of black scales flicker over his face again as the sonic attack washes over him. Wrathion's not harmed--he can tell the magic's not aimed at him--but he's not about to waste any time. He shakes his head for a moment, deafened, but then launches himself at the sprawled devil, making sure it can't close on Koh.
VERY sure. As Wrathion moves, he's obfuscated by a swirling aura of ash until his form is entirely obscured. As it disperses, the man is no longer there. Instead, it's a rather gangly-looking black dragon, snarling and stomping with its forepaws on the very unfortunate devil. One arm lifts and rakes at the devil's right wing, shredding it. The snarl turns into words--Wrathion's voice, perhaps a tinge deeper, and it sounds as if he's shouting up a well, but no, the dragon's jaws are moving...]
I am tired of this maze, this party, and I am tired of you! If I thought I could fly out of here, that is what I would do!
[He doesn't want his mouth anywhere near that devil's head--ugh, he doesn't want to imagine the taste--so he rears back, dropping his jaw to blast a gout of flame at its head as it shrieks in pain. Then the dragon drops it, but not before stomping on it a time or two more to put the flame out. It's so much jelly, now. Fastidiously, the dragon wipes his 'hands' on the grass. He snorts, then, and turns blazing crimson eyes on the drow.]
Forgive me, but I wanted to make very sure that it was dispatched! [A beat, then.] Surprise?
