The tension in this little room is so thick that Cale may struggle to breathe against just how suffocating it feels in the space. There's something off here, even if he may be unable to identify just what that is, but it gives off the same type of wrongness as looking into a mirror and seeing everything backwards.

For the Duke's rather intimidating appearance, the leader of Day so rarely raises his voice above a casual, bored drawl. So it feels significant that when he speaks, it's with the surprising snap of authority, irritation plainly bleeding into his tone. Everything about Lux is bright in this moment, even the shine of his jewelry just a touch too harsh on the eye.
