"I mean, perhaps you'll get scolded if you take them for too long, or return them in bad shape, but yeah." It's hard to believe, she knows. She hadn't believed any of it, either, until she was shown how easy it is to get drinks by promising to wash your glass up afterward, how a song could get you a new dress and boots besides. But now, there was no reason not to take advantage of it.

She nods encouragingly, glad Eponine has taken a step into her room. "Nothing at all, save maybe a story or a favor. This is a world without money. Where if we want to trade favors that way, we can.
