I. PARTY
[Maelle's pale blue eyes are wide as she wanders the party. It's too many people for her (though they say it's for her), and as she looks for a familiar face, she's increasingly disappointed. This is not Lumière or the continent or any place she's seen before, but she's becoming rather skilled at taking it all in stride.
An afterlife, maybe. And yet there's still no one she knows. What a cruel joke. In the next life.
As she approaches a table, a spread of fruit laid out, her voice is small as she addresses someone near.]
Have you tried the food? How is it?
[She makes a face. She's terrible at small talk.]
II. MAZE
[A maze. She can do this. Alone isn't ideal for puzzles that need you to be inside them, but she takes a deep breath and looks to whoever is near the entrance.]
They said the drinks are to help. I... think I'll pass, but... we could go together? If you want.
[She's young and nervous and bad at hiding the fact, but she takes a deep breath and forces herself to look forward.]
